Are you looking for a way to take your athletic training to the next level? Do you want to track your progress and make sure that your hard work is paying off? If so, this episode might have the solution for you.
Joining us today is Drew Crandall, owner and founder of Misfit Athletics, Misfit Gym, Sharpen The Axe, and Proper Fuel. He is an expert at CrossFit programming, which he’ll talk about in more depth in this episode.
According to Drew, athletes need to keep track of their CrossFit workout activity consistently to monitor their progress, make informed decisions about what they need to improve upon, and boost their level of competition. By keeping track of your performance over time, you can better understand how your body responds to different types of exercises and determine which ones are most effective for your goals. You can also use the data to adjust your workouts as needed and ensure that you’re staying on track.
Drew adds that one size definitely does not fit all with CrossFit training and programming. Factors like your current fitness level, your goals, time availability, current health status, physical background, and more must be considered when creating a training schedule.

“If you don't enjoy the journey, which is 98% of your day or time, then you're putting something on a pedestal that doesn't matter because it evolves.”
On this episode, we have not one, but two amazing guests: Cooper Marsh and Jake Marconi. Cooper is the Co-Owner of LAB Management, an agency that builds athletes’ brands brick by brick. Jake is the Director of Programming at Hard Work Pays Off (HWPO), a fitness community for hard workers, no matter what fitness level.

Cooper then highlights why, no matter what you’re trying to achieve, you must enjoy the journey since it’s where you’re spending 98% of your time and effort. If you do not enjoy the journey, you will always feel unfulfilled since goals are always evolving. Jake discusses finding your why and how to articulate the reason you do the things you do, which is never easy to put in words.
